“Becoming” - A Heidi Herrman Fashion Film is an experimental, concept film that explores a societal Male Gaze imposed on the film’s heroine. Images are projected onto her - images that are not who she is at her core, but rather ones that she must be in order to fulfill her perceived societal feminine role. Soon, our heroine casts off the imposed role perceptions and finds herself. Her skin is now her, “own,” and she is free to explore “who,” she truly is.
