According to Merriam-Webster, the definition of “alchemy” is:

1. : a medieval chemical science and speculative philosophy aiming to achieve the transmutation of the base metals into gold, the discovery of a universal cure for disease, and the discovery of a means of indefinitely prolonging life
2. : a power or process of transforming something common into something special
3. : an inexplicable or mysterious transmuting

The Lab is: an area of experimentation; an area of presentation; an area of creation ex nihilo. The Lab is the portion of the site where I post some of the material I have created or had a hand in creating. The process of transmutation is not always perfect, that is, every experiment does not yield positive, definitive results. In those cases, it is about the journey, the lessens learned. There are those times, however, where something common does indeed become something special.
